Have you ever dyed Easter Eggs? Have you thought about doing it without the little plastic bottles of food coloring? Chefs and artists of all ages can create natural dyes from plants like turmeric, beets, spinach & hibiscus. You will use those dyes as well as some other creative techniques and hacks to dye beautiful and edible Easter eggs. And you'll learn tips for applying the concepts of naturally colored dyes to other foods like pasta and baked goods. Since the dyed eggs are totally edible, you can turn some into a rainbow of deviled eggs, and display the rest.
This class is part science, part nutrition and 100% art.
