In this demonstration, hands-on, and tasting class, you'll learn how to make three delicious pasta dishes: Orecchiette with Spicy Sausage and Garlicky Broccoli Rabe, Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, and Pici With Garlicky Tomato Basil Marinara.
We will begin with a discussion on how to pair different types of pasta with the appropriate sauces, along with some classic dishes that you can prepare from scratch, even on a weeknight. You will discover how to create rich, flavorful sauces from scratch that perfectly complement your pasta. Additionally, you will hand-roll pici, a shape made from a simple dough of flour and water. Master the timing of cooking both pasta and sauces to ensure everything is finished together. In groups, you'll practice cooking pasta to the ideal al dente texture and how to sauce and garnish it correctly for maximum flavor.
At the end of the class, you'll get to enjoy the delicious dishes you've prepared, complete with tips on how to replicate them at home.
