Ethiopian Exploration Date Night

  • Teaching Table 12 Noel Drive Ossining (map)

Are you intimidated by the idea of making your own Ethiopian food? This class will demystify the spices used in Ethiopian cuisine as we blend our own Berbere from scratch. Learn how to blend and use new and different spices from around the world. Use those blends and my own triple aromatic purée in popular Ethiopian vegetarian dishes. You’ll also understand how Injera, a fermented flatbread is made, and practice steaming up your own. We guarantee you’ll be eating a flavorful healthy meal by the time we’re through.

Our menu includes:

  • Injera

  • Misir Wett - Split Red Lentils with Freshly Ground Berbere

  • Kik Alicha - Turmeric & Ginger Yellow Split Peas

  • Engoudae Tibs - Sautéed Mushrooms

  • Gomen - Ethiopian Collard Greens
