When you start searching for recipes, you get lost in the jargon, or you may find that while you had hoped to bake a pie, you don't have time for proper chilling. Should you run out and get eggs for that cobbler recipe? And what's the difference between a crumble, crisp, and cobbler anyway?
This class will finally help you distinguish between the three and teach you baking techniques that ensure you create the best version of each. We'll also define Betty, Buckle, Crumb Pie, and more. You'll be prepared with a baked fruit dessert for every occasion and fruit under the sun. In this class, we'll utilize a variety of fruit to bake cobblers, crumbles, and crisps. Chef Laura will define and lead you in making them all so that we may settle once and for all, which is best. At the end of the class, you can take home a fully baked, ready-to-eat dessert or take it unbaked and refrigerate it or freeze it to bake later. We'll also make fresh vanilla whipped cream from scratch.
