Winter Braises

  • Teaching Table your home anywhere USA (map)

Learn how to slow cook your way to comfort food magic, using what you have and very little of your time. Braising is one of the most important techniques you can master to create flavorful, hearty and balanced dishes to fill you up on weekday nights or prep ahead for the main course of a dinner party.

This class will cover the basics of braising from choosing proteins, building and pairing flavors, searing, deglazing, simmering to tender perfection, and utilizing cooking vessels.

Our menu includes:

  • Lamb Stew: Cinnamon, Star Anise, Preserved Lemon, Apricot, Pistachio

  • Tuscan Chicken: White Beans, Leeks, Rosemary, Wine, Root Vegetables

  • Steamed Cous Cous

  • Broccoli Rabe with Preserved Lemon

All ages welcome and encouraged.

This is a virtual hands-on class. There is some prep required for this class. You’ll receive a detailed ingredients list, prep instructions and recipes at least 1 week before class. No special tools or ingredients needed (see below). You will have freezable leftovers!
